Frequently asked questions
Q: My understanding is that students need to set up their accounts with the prefix provided only one time.
Once they have set up their account using this prefix, they no longer need the prefix for future log-ins?
A:This depends if they are logging into a computer that can save that information.
If they have their own device, then yes that info can be saved when they first log in.
We do not however, advise saving this information on a public computer or device.
Q: When a student visits the library, after they have set up their account with the prefix,
can they scan their I.D. barcode to check out books? Or will they need to know their number?
A: Students will need to know their library card number IF and only IF they need it to log into the Library's computers or want to check out materials
(library staff can look up this information for them).
